Helpful hint: Fayerweather is a one-way street. Hence the purple arrows. And yes, it turns left, right in front of our house.

From the T: take the Red Line to Harvard Square. From the upper bus platform, take the 74 or 78 bus. They both go out Concord Avenue and stop at Fayerweather Street. Walk up Fayerweather Street past Copley Street and turn right to follow Fayerweather as it turns - our house is there on the corner, on your right.

If the weather is nice and you're wearing comfortable shoes, by all means walk out Concord Avenue to Walden Street, turn right & then left on Fayerweather. Our house will be on your left, just before Fayerweather turns left. It takes about 20 minutes. Or you could walk out Garden Street to Walden & turn left, then right onto Fayerweather. Same amount of time, a little quieter (no buses on Garden Street). We're right smack dab in between Garden St & Concord Ave.

Driving from Harvard Square: Follow the directions above for walking from the T, except for the comfortable shoes part. Well, you can wear comfortable shoes if you want, it's just not as important if you're not walking...

From the West: Take Route 2 to Route 16 West/3 South (go to the right towards Boston/Watertown at the end of the divided highway). Pass the Alewife T Station and Fresh Pond Mall and go left at the first rotary. Go straight through the next rotary onto Concord Avenue (between the Sozio appliance store and the gas station). Turn left onto Walden Street (traffic light), and take the second left onto Fayerweather Street. Our house is on the corner on the left, at Hazel, Field and Fayerweather Streets. It's not as hard as it sounds.

From downtown: Take Mass Ave North across the Charles, and follow it through Kendall, Central, Harvard & Porter Squares. Okay, the squares are not really marked or anything, although you might notice the signs for the T stations that have those names on them.

Anyway just stay on Mass Ave. Just past the big T station and the Out of Town News stand at Harvard Square, the road forks with two lanes in each fork. Take the right lane of the left fork, following Mass Ave & in a little less than a mile you'll see the Porter Square Shopping Center with a big Star Market grocery & a CVS on the right. Soon after that you'll turn left onto Walden street, at the traffic light with a KFC on the corner. Go through traffic lights at Sherman and Garden Streets and Fayerweather Street is the first street on the right after Garden. Our house is on the left, just before Fayerweather turns left.
