Yup, we're getting hitched! We will celebrate our nuptials at the
Thoreau Outdoor Center in lovely,
historic Concord, Massachusetts. Bring shorts. Bring wetnaps. Bring
a bathing suit!
KIDS:
This is a kid-friendly event, bring 'em along! There will be supervision
and activities available for them in case they need a break from
the festivities. Just give us a heads up in your RSVP.
ATTIRE:
We don't really know what to tell you to wear. It's our wedding,
so we'll probably spiff up a bit, but there will be barbecue.
And chances are that in August it will be stinkin'
hot. We have the exclusive use of the swimming and wading pools
(with lifeguards), so by all means bring bathing suits. And dancing
shoes. We'll still love you if you show up in something wildly
inappropriate!
CAN'T STOP THE PARTY:
We will have an open house on Sunday from 10am-1pm. Drop in if you
like!
DIRECTIONS:
To the Thoreau Center: Take Route 2 to Route 62 West. Follow
62 through West Concord and turn left onto Forest Ridge Road (Look
for the big, carved wooden sign). Follow Forest Ridge straight through
the mysterious rotary (why is it there?). The Thoreau Center offices
are the first building on the left; the wedding will be in the big
tent down the hill out back. Here's
a map.
To our house: From the West, take Route 2 to Route 16 West/3
South (towards Watertown/Boston, go to the right at the end of the
divided highway). Pass the Alewife T Station and Fresh Pond Mall
and go left at the first rotary. Go straight through the next rotary
onto Concord Avenue (between the Sozio appliance store and the gas
station). Turn left onto Walden Street (traffic light), and take
the second left onto Fayerweather Street. Our house is on the corner
on the left, at Hazel, Field and Fayerweather Streets. Here's
a map and a photo of the house.
